Call for witnesses after shootings in Ennis

GARDAÍ in Ennis are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm in a residential area on Lahinch Road in Ennis last night, Friday October 11.

At around 10:10 p.m., several shots were fired at a residence in the Acha Bhile housing estate on Lahinch Road. No one was injured during the incident.

A man (aged in his 40s) was arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained under section 30 of the Offenses Against the State Act 1939 at a Garda station in Clare.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses.

Anyone who was near the Acha Bhile residential area on Friday evening between 9.30pm and 10.30pm is asked to contact investigating Gardaí. Any road users who were traveling on Lahinch Road and surrounding areas during this period and who noticed unusual activity are asked to come forward.

Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash cam) and who were traveling in this area are asked to make the footage available to Gardaí.
