THE Eure firefighters intervened at 6 p.m., Sunday October 20, 2024Place de la Pâture in Thuit-de-l’Oison (Eure). The detector carbon monoxide from an empty house launched. The too high level of this odorless gas was due to a generator operating with a heat engine, which had been left running in the garage: a space with no opening to the outside.

The gas has spread at the adjoining house, where three people are discovered: a 48-year-old man, a 17-year-old teenage girl and a 14-year-old boy. “The carbon monoxide concentration was much higher than normalbut they didn’t realize anything”, indicate the Eure firefighters to Courrier de l’Eure. The teenager, victim of poisoningwas still conscientious but in a state of relative emergency. “She was transported to the CHI of Elbeuf under oxygen,” added the firefighters, who were 10 on site.
