One of three teens shot outside Lil Durk concert at United Center dies: officials

One of three teenagers injured in a shooting outside the United Center Sunday night has died, Chicago police said Monday.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, has not been formally identified, according to police. He was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger, initially in critical condition.

The attack, which also injured a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, occurred at 6:56 p.m. in the 100 block of North Wolcott Avenue, just minutes before the start of the Lil Durk concert .

It happened near a United Center parking lot.

The 19-year-old was in critical condition while the 15-year-old, scratched in the abdomen and hit in the hand, was in good condition. Both were recovering in Stroger, police said.

Police have not released the circumstances of the shooting. No one is in custody.

Last year, unconfirmed reports of shots fired near the end of Lil Durk’s set at the United Center sparked a “stampede” that injured several people.
