French NGO files complaint against President Macron before UN’s highest court for complicity in Israeli crimes in Gaza

PARIS

A French non-governmental organization has filed a complaint against the French president with the UN’s highest court for complicity in Israel’s “war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes of genocide.”

EuroPalestine shared a video on Tuesday on X, in which the founder of the NGO, activist Olivia Zemor, explained the steps taken.

In an opinion, the NGO filed a complaint against French President Emmanuel Macron, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjour and former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, for complicity in “war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes of genocide” by Israel in Gaza. .

EuroPalestine submitted evidence regarding the alleged involvement of French officials to the ICJ, according to Zemor’s explanation.

She noted that French officials were complicit in unconditionally supporting the Israeli government militarily, diplomatically and economically since October 2023.

EuroPalestine submitted a 27-page dossier to the court, claiming that these French officials not only failed to prevent but encouraged Israeli authorities to commit these crimes.

Israel has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza since last year’s Hamas attack, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.

Since then, more than 42,300 people have been killed, mostly women and children, and more than 99,000 others have been injured, according to local health authorities.

The Israeli attack has displaced almost the entire population of the territory, amid a permanent blockade that has led to serious shortages of food, drinking water and medicine.

Israel also faces a genocide case before the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
