Stephanie Reson thanked her mother for providing for her and her brother despite the challenges they faced.

USIU graduate honors single mother

“Raising children as a single parent is not easy; I saw you do it, and you did it so well; I don’t know how many times you’ve cried yourself to sleep, not knowing where the next meal will come from,” she said through tears.

She admitted that raising them alone must have been difficult, but she never complained or showed them that she was weak, even when things got difficult.

“I don’t know how many times you were sleep deprived because of me and my siblings, and you would always come out of your room and laugh with us like nothing was happening,” she said. declared.

Reson also had fun remembering how her mother once told them she would have eaten them if they were chickens.

She also admitted how difficult she had to make life for her mother due to her harsh nature.

“I understand you because raising a daughter is not easy, I can tell you that for sure. Coming from a strong-willed woman, it wasn’t easy on me because I was hard-headed at one point,” she admitted.

The international relations major said she understands her mother didn’t attend the best schools, but she made sure she had the best ones.

“I understand that you don’t have the privilege of going to the best schools, but I can tell you for sure, I’ve been around people and people, and I thank God for you,” a- she added.
