US Election 2024 Live: Harris returns to Pennsylvania with Trump in Georgia as campaigns heat up

The focus may currently be on the row over which members of the UK Labor Party are volunteering for Kamala Harris – but on Wednesday the campaign will continue apace for both Republicans and Democrats.

The first public event today for Donald Trump is a “believers and ballots” town hall meeting at Zebulon, Georgiawith local governor Burt Jones at his side. A few hours later, still in the same state, Trump must appear at a gathering in Duluth.

Georgia is considered one of seven key battleground states in this election, the others being: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada. We have this article on the key battleground states in the US elections.

Nevada is the focus of Trump’s running mate JD Vance, with events planned today at Las Vegas and then Reno.

Pennsylvania is Kamala Harris’ destination and only campaign appearance scheduled for Wednesday. She will participate in a CNN town hall event in Chester Township, just outside the Philadelphia metro area.

Meanwhile, Harris conducted an interview with Telemundo presenter Julio Vaqueiro, which will air Wednesday evening.

Harris’ running mate Tim Walz will hold a rally at Madison, Wisconsin, with former President Barack Obama later joining him for a second rally at Root.
