Man pleads guilty to embezzling nearly $3.4 million from family business in Armonk

A man had pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $3.4 million from a family business in Armonk.

John Hickey was the company’s former controller and director of quality assurance.

He created false invoices and forged signatures from February 2018 to November 2023, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Authorities say Hickey pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
