2 men arrested for shoplifting at multiple Monmouth County stores

Two suspects arrested Wednesday by Holmdel police face charges of shoplifting from several stores in Monmouth County, according to authorities.

Police say they responded to a call from BestBuy after the men attempted to bypass anti-theft devices and triggered alarms on several laptops and mobile phones.

Once the suspects were apprehended, officers found several stolen items from various stores in Holmdel and surrounding towns.

Police also discovered that the two men were wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The suspects were charged with shoplifting, authorities said.

Police say the duo has an arrest warrant from New York for a similar incident.
