The fight scene was filmed by spectators and the footage was widely shared online.

What videos showed

According to the videos, the man, dressed in a white t-shirt, could be seen arguing with the woman before grabbing a metal sign holder and throwing it at her.

In response, the woman threw pieces of vegetables at him, prompting one of her friends, dressed in a flesh-colored dress, to intervene by placing herself between them.

However, his friend’s actions did not seem to appease the man, as he continued to respond to the woman and told her that he would ask for the CCTV camera footage and “extort all her money” because he is “a lawyer in Hong Kong”. .

The fight intensified

The fight quickly escalated when the man, who was on the ground, began hitting the woman’s head with an object at least five times while kicking her.

During the struggle, she also asked him: “Are you more noble because you are from Hong Kong?” (Who gave you the right to) speak humbly about the people of Changsha?

Under their grip, strands of hair, presumably the woman’s hair extensions, and the man’s glasses fell to the ground.

The female side of the story

After the videos went viral, the woman decided to come forward and share her account of what happened on the day of the incident.

During a livestream session, the woman, who identified herself as Jiang Yan, said the man was a “complete stranger” sitting at a table behind her and her friends.

However, for “unknown reasons”, the man “approached their table” and began calling the people of Changsha “poor people of despicable taste and character”.

The insults were apparently unprovoked.

Jiang and his friends ‘wanted to leave,’ but the man ‘kept cursing’

At first, Jiang didn’t want to escalate their argument because one of the man’s friends “kept apologizing on his behalf,” she said.

The group even considered leaving the area even though they hadn’t finished their food, but they suspended their plan after the man “caught up with them” and “continued to curse at them.”

At one point, he also said he could “easily get the group 30 boxes of alcohol,” which he thought they couldn’t afford, Jiang shared.

According to her, after the fight began, the man hit her head “more than 10 times with his cell phone”, while she only managed to hit back three or four times with her high heels.

When the fight ended and the man left the outlet, he also “did not pay for his food” and “left the bill with his friend”, who had apologized in his name. name earlier, Jiang said.

Jiang added that she “is ready to take responsibility for her actions after setting the record straight.”

Jiang discourages fighting

Jiang’s action quickly gained praise online, with many social media users applauding him for defending his interests and those of his city’s residents.

Some have also found a resemblance between her and Wu Song, a fictional character from the Chinese novel “Water Margin”, known for killing a man-eating tiger.

However, it appears that there were also individuals who decided to take advantage of the situation by posing as Jiang and selling the videos of the fight for money.

In response, Jiang posted a video from Douyin on October 14, emphasizing that she would “never sell videos for profit” or “ask anyone to give her monetary reward for her actions.”

“I also want to make it clear that fighting is never the solution. I would also like to ask everyone not to encourage such behavior,” Jiang added.
