2 teenagers Michelle Olivas and Elvis Merino last seen at San Lorenzo High School prom found safe

SAN LORENZO, Calif. (KGO) — Two teenagers missing since leaving a prom Friday night at San Lorenzo High School have been found safe and reunited with their families, according to the San Lorenzo Unified School District.

School officials say Michelle Olivas and Elvis Merino went to prom together on Friday, October 18.

Olivas is a student at San Lorenzo High School and Merino traveled to the Bay Area from Mendocino County to attend the event.

They were supposed to meet their parents afterward, but neither teen showed up.

Both were considered at risk since they were only 15 years old.

The district said in a statement: “We are extremely grateful for this outcome and happy for the families involved and our entire school district community. We have no additional information to share at this time.”
