NASGB wishes 2024 registrants good luck

VEREENIGING. – The National Association of School Governing Bodies (NASGB) in the Sedibeng region has wished matriculation students good luck in their final examinations.
NASGB Secretary Thabiso Radebe said NASGB appreciates the efforts of all stakeholders to ensure matric program learners are prepared for their final examinations.

“We stand behind the success of Grade 12 learners in pursuit of their brighter futures. NASGB believes that a functioning education system benefits learners, educators and SGB members.

“As NASGB, we have been behind you providing our unconditional parental love and support. We know this hasn’t been an easy journey for you. We are delighted that you now find yourself as qualified candidates to appear for the 2024 matric exams. We wish every learner success.

Radebe conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of the learners who managed to make it to the 2024 matric classes but sadly lost their lives during the year.
“Our hearts go out to the families of these matric learners who sadly lost their lives in different circumstances.”

The NASGB urges learners to follow all rules and requirements during their final exams.

“We hope that the department will produce excellent results. Don’t be tempted to cheat on your exams and don’t let exam pressure get to you. As parents and a community, we continue to love you and are always ready to give you advice on how to consider the many opportunities after your Year 12 exams.

The NASGB urges learners to refrain from suicide, saying there is always a second chance to improve. The association also asked parents to refrain from putting pressure on their children, adding that they should remain a stable support system no matter what.

“The department has implemented a second chance program for those who do not perform well in exams. We ask our learners to take advantage of this opportunity instead of taking drastic measures that would result in loss of lives.
