New Jersey man sentenced to 19 years in prison for fatal assault in Wildwood

A Mercer County man was sentenced to 19 years in state prison for fatally stabbing another man and seriously assaulting the victim’s cousin in Wildwood, authorities said Friday.

DaJohn Taylor, 19, of Highstown, was convicted of aggravated manslaughter in the death of Kaiden Braithwaite, 19, on June 11, 2023, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland.

The sentence included time for Taylor’s assault conviction for stabbing the victim’s cousin, whose injuries include permanent nerve damage, Sutherland said.
