FEATURED STORY: Several events in Dearborn, a suburb west of Detroit, Recent weeks have highlighted growing resentment toward Israel in the city as Vice President Kamala Harris tries to shore up support for a fragile coalition in the swing state of Michigan. Abdullah Hammoud, the city’s mayor, spoke at a September 25 rally in support of Lebanon and murdered Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, during which chants of “Death to Israel” and demands that Jews be sent back “to Poland”.

ANTI-SEMITISM FLIGHT CASE: The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) has fined Lufthansa $4 million, accusing the Germany-based airline of discrimination for barring more than 100 Jewish passengers from boarding a flight more than two years ago. The May 2022 incident saw Lufthansa prevent 128 Jewish passengers from boarding a connecting flight in Germany, after “misbehavior by some passengers” on the original flight, which departed from new York.

BIGOTED BLING: Amazon removed a controversial video this week showing an executive wearing a necklace depicting a Palestinian flag over Israel. Ruba Borno, vice president of Global Specialists and Partner Organizations at Amazon Web Services, was featured in a video promoting the company’s upcoming AWS re:Invent conference. Although it was not emphasized, some viewers noticed of the necklace and threatened to cancel their Amazon subscriptions in response.

HATE ON THE QUAD: A 19-year-old South Dakota student has been charged after police say he admitted to publish anti-Semitic remarks on the campus of Hamilton College in upstate New York. New York State Police The spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the suspect drew swastikas on open canvases throughout campus and wrote a message calling for the death of Jews “wherever you find them.”

DISANGULAR IN THE HOUSE: Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., a member of the Democratic team, tweeted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a “genocidal madman” who “burns Palestinians alive,” drawing sharp rebukes from the country’s ambassador to the United Nations. The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, responded by writing: “The only ones who burned children alive were your Hamas buddies. »
