Jaipur rape case: Case registered against man for allegedly raping 17-year-old girl in Jaipur, Rajasthan

A complaint has been filed against a man for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl, police said Saturday. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s father at the Jaipur Metro Station police station, the accused Kunal (22) took the girl to a hotel on August 25 where he raped her.

A month later, on September 27, the accused called the victim to meet him at New Atish Market MRT station where, following an altercation, he pushed the girl out of the station , which resulted in spinal injuries, police said.

“A case was registered on Friday. We have requested CCTV footage from the metro station on September 27. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the state-run Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital,” Jaipur Metro Station said SHO Ajaykant Raturi.

The girl is preparing for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) here while the accused is preparing for the competitive examination in Jodhpur, police said.

The two had known each other for five years, they said.


A case under sections of rape, attempt to murder and POCSO Act has been registered against the accused, police said. The matter is being further investigated, they said.
