Baba Siddique was killed on October 12

Mumbai: The shooters who killed the leader of the PCN Baba Siddique had learned to use firearms by watching YouTube videos in a rented house in Kurla district of Maharashtra. The former minister was attacked by three people in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar area, just outside the office of his MP son Zeeshan Siddique, and shot dead on the night of October 12.

Two of the three shooters were arrested by the Mumbai Police and later two more accused in the case were arrested. Four arrests have been made so far as police try to find the mastermind behind the murder. THE Gang Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the murder, citing Siddique’s proximity to Salman Khan.

The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police, while questioning the accused, found that the alleged shooter Shivkumar Gautam, who is on the run, had learned how to handle the weapons during celebratory firing at weddings in Uttar Pradesh , an official told PTI.

“Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap learned filming by watching videos on YouTube and often practiced (without a magazine) in Mumbai,” police said earlier.

During the interrogation of the arrested accused – Gurmail Singh and Dharmaraj Kashyap – it also came to light that Gautam was hired as a ‘main shooter’ as he had knowledge in handling firearms.

Kashyap and Singh were trained in shooting by Gautam at a rented house in Kurla, where they carried out ‘dry training’ (firing without bullets). They learned how to load and unload the gun by watching YouTube videos for almost four weeks because they couldn’t find any free space to practice.

The shooters communicated via Snapchat

One of the alleged co-conspirators, Shubham Lonkar, was on the police radar until September 24, after being questioned in June in connection with a shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai in April, when the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was suspected. .

Shubham Lonkar was arrested in January in connection with an Arms Act case registered at Akot police station in Maharashtra’s Akola district but was later released on bail. The police had recovered more than ten firearms in this case. Shubham was in communication with Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol.

During the investigation, it also came to light that the accused were communicating with each other using social media applications like Snapchat and Instagram. Shubham Lonkar is aware of mobile phone apps and asked all members involved in the conspiracy (to kill Siddique) to speak through Instagram and chat through Snapchat to avoid surveillance. Snapchat has a feature that automatically deletes most messages once they are viewed or expired, an official told PTI.

Mumbai Police on Tuesday revealed that the assassination plan was hatched around three months ago in Pune and the arrested shooters were paid a hefty sum of money for it.

The Mumbai Police said in a statement: “The plot to kill Baba Siddique had started three months ago. The accused had visited Baba Siddique’s house several times without a weapon. According to reports, the entire planning of Baba Siddique’s murder was done in Pune.

The Mumbai Police statement further said, “To identify Baba Siddique, the accused was given the photo and banner picture of Baba Siddique and was told that he was the target. The house and office were also surveyed 25 days before the incident.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Behind Murder of Baba Siddique?

A Facebook account named Shubbu Lonkar Maharashtra claimed responsibility for the murder, accusing actor Salman Khan of starting a “war”. Siddique notably had close ties with Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been on the Bishnoi gang’s blacklist since 1999. The politician has been pushing for beefed-up security for Salman Khan since the actor began receiving threats.

The message in Hindi read: “Salman Khan, we never wanted this war, but you have harmed our brother. Today, whether under the protection of Baba Siddique or as an act with Dawood during this period, the aim was to link Anuj Thapan and Dawood with Bollywood, politics and real estate deals after his death. We have no enmity with anyone but anyone who helps Salman Khan and Dawood’s gang. will have to keep his accounts clear If any harm happens to our brother, we will surely respond , even if we never attacked Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bharat Hail to the martyrs #LawrenceBishnoiGroup #AnmolBishnoi #AnkitBhaduSherewala.
