Odia actor gets in trouble for his remark that ‘Lawrence Bishnoi’s next target should be Rahul Gandhi’ – Odisha TV

Ollywood actor Buddhaditya Mohanty has landed in hot water following a controversial social media post claiming that opposition leader and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should be gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s next target .

The state unit of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has filed a complaint against the ‘Bye Bye Dubai’ actor. The NSUI and Congress accused Mohanty of inciting violence through his post and demanded strict action against him.

“An Odia actor, Buddhaditya Mohanty, through his Facebook post, said that Rahul Gandhi should be Lawrence Bishnoi’s next target. We condemn such thoughts against our leader. We will not allow him to walk on the road until he apologizes for his ‘bizarre’ remarks,” Chhatra Congress president Udit Pradhan said.

In a now-deleted Facebook post, the ‘Nandini I Love You’ actor said, “Germany had the Gestapo… Israel has the Mossad… USA has the CIA… now the India has Lawrence Bishnoi…next in line should be Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi.” .

However, the actor immediately deleted the post and said he was ready to apologize. He said the Congress members had misunderstood him and said, “I had only posted rumors that were doing the rounds on various social media platforms regarding Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi as his next possible targets.” I only mentioned that Bishnoi is compared to the Gestapo, the secret police of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany and Israel’s Mossad.”
