Adán Augusto López Hernández, coordinator of the Morena senators, announced that he was withdrawing the proposed reform of constitutional article 1, which would eliminate the “convention control” of the Magna Carta. Without an embargo, constitutional articles 103, 105 and 107 will be reformulated.

The enmienda morenista will direct the judiciary to prevent the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN), courts and judges from invalidating constitutional reforms.
