Strict security measures in place for parliamentary session

Tight security measures have been put in place for today’s sessions of the Senate and National Assembly, with a number of restrictions on entry and media coverage.

According to a spokesperson, guest entry to the sessions was banned as part of increased security measures.

Only media representatives holding press cards will be allowed into Parliament, while strict guidelines have been issued to prevent video footage or mobile recordings from being taken in the Senate and House press galleries. National Assembly.

Likewise, the Media Directorate of the National Assembly has issued a directive according to which any media representative caught making videos will have their mobile phone confiscated, in accordance with the President’s decision.
