China releases horror video showing how it will surround Taiwan | World | News

China has released a gruesome propaganda video revealing how it intends to encircle the main island of Taiwan, forcing its troops to surrender.

Xi Jinping has consistently pushed for what he calls “peaceful reunification,” but this has been rejected by Taiwan’s people and government for fear of Communist Party rule.

As a result, he has stepped up his country’s military and coast guard exercises to be ready for a full-scale invasion by 2027, according to U.S. intelligence reports.

China has begun conducting exercises focused on maritime and air combat readiness, blockading Taiwan’s ports and key areas and attacking sea and land targets.

Eastern Theater Command spokesperson Captain Li Xi said: “This exercise also serves as a stern warning to the separatist acts of Taiwan independence forces. »

This latest escalation came with the release of a shocking video from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which was allegedly “dispersed via state-controlled media”, according to BBC China correspondent Stephen McDonell.

He said the CCP “is celebrating this exercise as simply the latest in a series of encirclement exercises in which Taiwan is encircled by the PLA.”

The video shows plans for air and sea attacks, cornering the main island from all sides until Taiwanese forces have no choice but to surrender.

Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council responded to Monday’s exercises, calling them “blatant provocations” that threaten peace in the region.

The Foreign Office echoed the sentiment, calling on Beijing to “pull back from the brink”.

Taiwan President Lai Ching-te’s office urged China to accept the president’s “goodwill” and revealed that a national security meeting had been held on how to handle the latest exercises.

Taiwan’s Defense Ministry also released footage of the military responding to the exercises, revealing air defense launches, military vehicles and a navy ship taking up positions. The ministry said it would avoid any escalation or direct confrontation.

Professor Zhang Chi of the PLA National Defense University said it was a “dead end” for Taiwan’s independence because the exercises will have a “more intense deterrent effect” on “separatist forces.”

He told state media CCTV: “The more separatist forces dare to provoke, the more the PLA will advance. The more separatists align themselves with external forces, the tighter the chain of blockade of Taiwan will become. »
