Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn separated by security as hotel clashes turn physical

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn were separated by security during an altercation at a hotel on Thursday, new footage has revealed.

On Saturday, Eubank Jr will face Kamil Szeremeta under the card of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol’s undisputed title fight in Saudi Arabia. But Benn, who Eubank Jr was due to face in 2022, caught the attention of his fellow Briton in Riyadh on Thursday October 10.

Footage released on Friday showed Eubank Jr and Benn exchanging words in the main fight hotel, with Benn shoving his rival and hurling numerous expletives at him. Security kept the two men separated throughout.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, after the fight,” Benn said. “I’ll give it to you. Yeah, sure, buddy. You’re really lucky to fight tomorrow.

Benn then pushed Eubank Jr, who remained calm during the altercation. “Fuck you,” Benn continued. “Look what’s happening, a dead boy walking.

“I’m going to give you a good beating in front of 60,000 people, that’s what’s going to happen. I’ll be there tomorrow, you arrogant bastard.

Eubank Jr later tweeted: “This little weasel @ConorNigel waited for the day I was starving and dehydrated from gaining weight, to grow some balls and shoot me.”

Eubank Jr and Benn were due to face each other in October 2022, almost three decades after their fathers – Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn – faced each other for the second and final time in their historic rivalry. However, it was revealed the week of the fight that Conor Benn had failed two drug tests. The fight was later canceled and Benn continues to serve a suspension, although he and Eubank Jr have remained linked ever since.

A national anti-doping panel lifted Benn’s suspension in 2023, but the British Boxing Board of Control and UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) successfully appealed the decision. The ban was therefore reinstated, although Benn suggested in September that it could end this month.

“I (proved my innocence),” Benn said Aerial sports in September. “Forget the narrative that is being pushed. I was authorized a year and a half ago by the people who took the test.

“I had passed all my Ukad (tests) during this same period. So, I had exceeded their authority. (Critics) say I didn’t do this, I didn’t do that, but the reality is I went down every avenue possible to get there.

“It’s something I’m willing to fight for and have fought for, and I’m happy it’s coming to an end.” I didn’t bend, I didn’t influence the truth, and that’s all that matters to me: my integrity.

“I couldn’t accept the ban. If I haven’t done something, I won’t raise my hand. Never that! I stay true to what I believe in, and the easiest option would be, “Yeah, I’ll just take that” (but I) keep fighting and spending hundreds of thousands, missing out on big opportunities.
