Bradford driver who falsified documents to avoid prosecution jailed

A driver who falsified documents in a bid to evade prosecution for careless driving has been jailed.

Mikael Khan, 37, falsely claimed to have sold his car after dashcam footage showed the vehicle being driven carelessly in Leeds last year, West Yorkshire Police said.

Khan, of Brookfield Avenue in Shipley, was jailed for 16 months at Bradford Crown Court.

Officers said they hoped the sentence would serve as a “warning” to anyone trying to avoid detection for a criminal offense.
