Man injured in collision on A45 after driving on road in Northampton

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car while crossing a main road.

The incident happened on the A45, near the Billing area of ​​Northampton, just after 11:00 BST on Friday.

The man, aged in his 30s, was driving a Mazda on the eastbound roadway when he stopped and ran across the road, before colliding with a Toyota.

Northampton Police said they spoke to the Independent Office for Police Conduct after the incident because officers were present when the incident happened.
