Notorious individuals are at large: YouTuber “Chekuthan” denounces police inaction in his complaint against Bala

YouTuber Aju Alex, popularly known as ‘Chekuthan’, has revealed that no action was taken by the police on his complaint against actor Bala. Aju said despite allegations that Bala came to his house with a gun and threatened him, the police have had no response so far. He arrived at the Kadavanthra police station after learning that Bala had been arrested based on complaints from his ex-wife and daughter.

“I came to see him after hearing that Bala had been arrested. I filed a complaint against him last year. He broke into my house, threw things and threatened my life. He pointed a gun at my friend and said he would kill us both. Despite filing a complaint, no action has been taken so far,” Aju said.

Aju expressed his frustration, saying he has yet to receive any report regarding his case. “Notorious individuals like him roam freely here. Additionally, news surfaced that Bala had assaulted a manager. This behavior didn’t just start today; it’s in progress. This is someone who causes trouble not only online but also in public.

He further mentioned that Bala was carrying a gun with him but no investigation was conducted into the gun. “I also filed a complaint at the police station. Allowing these individuals to move freely is a failure on the part of the police. Even now they act submissively before him. The police need not treat this celebrity guest with such deference.

Aju noted that when he was arrested, police acted quickly to collect evidence. However, it took three days after her complaint for police to visit Bala’s home. “After taking his statement, they left,” he added.

In another development, Bala had filed a complaint months ago against various actors and their family members for using obscene language against him on social media. He took his complaints to the film organization ‘Amma’ and the Pallaarivattam police, targeting Aju Alex and Santhosh Varkey, also known as ‘Araattannan’.

Following Bala’s complaints, Siddique, Amma’s former general secretary, took the matter seriously and initiated further action. Aju Alex and Santhosh Varkey were called to the police station, where they wrote and signed a statement in the presence of senior police officials, promising that such behavior would not be repeated. Police warned them that legal action would be taken if similar incidents occurred in the future.
