Authorities find two people with stab wounds and house on fire after call of disturbance in Hull, Iowa

SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) – Two people were found with stab wounds and a house on fire after authorities in Sioux County, Iowa, were dispatched to a disturbance in Hull, Iowa. Iowa, Monday afternoon.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was called to 5th and Division Street around 3:30 p.m., where they found three people, two with stab wounds.

Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released. A third person was arrested.

Shortly after, deputies saw thick black smoke coming from a home on Division Street, near the reported disturbance. Firefighters discovered an active fire in a bedroom of the home, believed to have been intentionally started by the same person later arrested during the disturbance.

The identities of the injured people and the person arrested have not been released.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
