Private college asks FIA to investigate two posts by TikTokers

The administration of the private college in Lahore has formally requested the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe an alleged rape case, expressing concerns over the suspicious role of two students using TikTok.

After being reprimanded by the vice principal for unauthorized videotaping on campus, the administration says students launched a social media campaign accusing the school of wrongdoing.

In the application, the college management said that the campaign, which began after October 12, quickly intensified, leading to protests in several cities. The college alleges that the viral campaign led to the spread of false information, damaged the institution’s reputation and provoked violent attacks on campus property.

The college further demanded action against those responsible for false propaganda, protests and vandalism. Although the victim’s family has not yet been identified, the accused is said to be in police custody. Authorities are also investigating targeted Instagram accounts linked to the campaign.
