Notice – Saguenay–Saint-Laurent Marine Park

Act respecting the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park (chapter P-8.1)

Notice is given, by the Minister of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks, Mr. Benoit Charette, in accordance with paragraph 2o of the first paragraph of article 3 of the Act respecting the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, that under the terms of theCanada-Quebec agreement relating to the Saguenay – St. Lawrence Marine Park expansion projectconcluded on September 28, 2023, the government of Quebec and the government of Canada confirmed their common intention to modify the boundaries of the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, for the purposes of expanding the park on public lands in Quebec.

The Minister of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks, Mr. Benoit Charrette, and the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Mr. Steven Guilbeault, will hold a joint public consultation, including the coordination committee, on this project to modify the boundaries of the marine park.

The dates and contact details of the public consultation sessions as well as the terms of participation and the documentation relating to this project will be published on the marine park website (https://parcmarin.qc.ca).
