In the case of African swine fever and ASF, Gangwon-do has been in a serious phase since 2019, five years ago. But these days, that’s not all. Throughout the country, cases of rump skin in cattle and highly pathogenic AI in birds have occurred everywhere.

Rumpiskin, a leading infectious disease of livestock, is transmitted by vampire insects such as mosquitoes.

The mortality rate does not reach 10%, but the cows suffer from anorexia and their milk production is reduced.

This year it happened two months earlier than last year.

The tide is also unusual.

Previously, highly pathogenic avian influenza H5 was identified in the droppings of wild birds in Mangyeonggang River, Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do.

In the case of AI, avian flu, the particularly fluid migratory route is a quarantine variable.
