Market Drayton suffers four suspected arson attacks in one hour

In a Facebook post, Market Drayton Fire Brigade said a crew was first called to a bin fire on Longslow Road, near the primary school.

Upon returning from this incident, they were dispatched to a second incident on the same road, where two wheelie bins were found on fire, with fire damage also noted at a garden shed.

Following this, another incident was reported near Portland Drive, where two wheelie bins were destroyed by fire. It also damaged a fence, two garages and two vehicles.

Another fire was then reported on Elm Drive, involving wheelie bins and a vehicle, and was attended by a Hodnet fire crew.

“All of these fires are believed to be linked and deliberately started,” the service said.

“If you have any information, doorbell or security camera footage that could help with the investigation, please call 101 to report.”
