A video accusing Jayaprada, daughter of composer Deva, of bullying has gone viral, sparking controversy

Jayaprada owns a house Vadapalani which was reportedly rented to a couple, Deepika and Jayakumar. Recently, Deepika shared a tearful video on social media, claiming that seven knife-wielding individuals invaded her house, threatened her, vandalized the property and then fled. In the emotional footage, she expressed her fear and relief at having survived the incident, saying: “If anything happens to me or my husband, it will be because of Jayaprada. » Deepika also mentioned that she contacted emergency services during the ordeal, but chose not to file a written complaint when police arrived.
In response to the video, the Vadapalani police launched an investigation. According to Thanthi TV, Deepika has been living in Jayaprada’s house for around a year and a half but has not paid rent for a year. Three months ago, Jayaprada filed a complaint with the Vadapalani police regarding the overdue payments. At that time, Deepika had assured the authorities that she would settle her debts, but she continued to default on her rent.
Police reported that Deepika initially agreed to pay monthly rent of ₹25,000, but attributed her financial woes to losses in her hardware business. Despite this, she released the viral video accusing Jayaprada of sending goons to threaten her and her husband. Police confirmed that Deepika is yet to file a formal complaint regarding the alleged threats.
