VFDs from Slaton and Woodrow fight fire at Posey electrical substation

LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) – Volunteer firefighters from the Woodrow and Slaton Fire Departments are on scene in the 5400 block of East FM 1585, battling a fire at the Posey Electrical Substation.

The call came in around 8:30 p.m.

Deputies are currently blocking FM 1585 at CR 2900 and are asking the public to avoid the area until the fire can be extinguished.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
