(Society)Food and Drug Administration approves emergency use of COVID-19 vaccine for infants

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced today (21) that it has approved the COVID-19 mutation vaccine JN.1 for emergency use in infants and toddlers from 6 months to 4 years.

Emergency Use Authorization is a system that allows the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to manufacture or import unauthorized products at the request of the head of the relevant agency to respond to a public health crisis .

Previously, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requested emergency use authorization from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the inoculation of infants and toddlers.
