A horror series known for its wide array of barbaric and memorable traps, Saw V certainly did not disappoint with the reveal of a shocking water cube contraption in which FBI agent Peter Strahm (Scott Patterson) s was found locked up.

As Strahm fights to stay alive as the container rapidly fills with H20, he finally gets the brilliant idea to give himself a tracheotomy with his pen; a gesture that ultimately saves his life. Amidst all this aquatic chaos, however, there is one small detail that the average viewer probably completely missed throughout this scene.

The shots change frantically to really increase the intensity during the scene. But when the odd brighter shot of Strahm locked in the trap is shown for a frame or two, what you see here is behind-the-scenes footage of Patterson being placed in the box on set (via r/MovieDetails).

It takes a bit of slowing down to really capture the brief images, of course. However, when comparing these shots to footage of BTS showing how they made the trap for the film, it appears that the same people who helped the actor that day are somewhat visible for a moment during the scene final itself.
