Frantic call moments before Liam Payne’s death

Frantic call moments before Liam Payne’s death

British pop star Liam Payne died from a third-floor hotel balcony yesterday, sending shockwaves through the entertainment world. Moments earlier, a hotel manager had frantically called the emergency hotline and informed them of an unruly guest.

The appeal details the frightening moments before the former member of the famous boy band One Direction fell from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

During the call, the manager claimed the singer was out of control and “putting his life in danger”, and requested “urgent” assistance.

In the audio obtained by The Sun UK, the manager named Esteban can be heard claiming that the singer was destroying his hotel room while under the influence of “drugs and alcohol.” “We have a guest who is drunk on drugs and alcohol. When he is conscious, he breaks everything in the room,” the manager said.

According to the report, the reception manager called the authorities twice. When he made the second call, he reiterated his request and said, “We need you to send someone urgently because I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger.”

The manager noted that the guests were in a room with a balcony. “Well, we’re a little afraid that he’s going to do something, that he’s going to put his life in danger,” he added.

When asked how long the guest had been staying at the hotel and if it was an extended stay hotel, the person responded, “He’s been there for two or three days.”

According to the New York Post, “resources” were dispatched to the hotel at 5:04 p.m. local time, while emergency medical services were only requested after police were notified of the fall around 5:07 p.m. Payne “behaved erratically” and was even taken back to his room before his death, eyewitnesses said.

Liam Payne died at the scene and authorities said “there was no possibility of resuscitation.” Shortly after, his body was placed in the ambulance and taken away under police escort.

Prosecutors earlier said an initial investigation suggested the fall occurred as a result of drug addiction. His autopsy revealed 25 injuries, including fatal head injuries, prosecutors said, adding that there was no sign of third-party involvement.

Payne is survived by his parents, his son Bear Gray Payne with his former girlfriend Cheryl and his two older sisters.
