Jessica Chastain dragged after blasting JetBlue for refund

Oscar winner Jessica Chastain is being slammed on social media after trashing JetBlue over a $15 in-flight entertainment credit.

The “Zero Dark Thirty” actress, 47, lashed out at X (formerly Twitter) in a since-deleted post after her “flight entertainment system” malfunctioned during a 6-hour flight .

“Thank you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit. My flight cost $1,500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you,” Chastain’s deleted tweet posted Wednesday read. “It’s odd that I paid that for your in-flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6 hour flight, but I guess it was worth it for that $15 credit.”

The star made sure to attach her receipt to the tweet – and she didn’t stop there.

After JetBlue apologized to Chastain via X, writing, “We’re sorry you’re disappointed, Jessica. Please DM us so we can look into this,” the actress said, including a screenshot of the conversation she once had with the airline’s customer service.

When the service agent informed Chastain that she had received the $15 credit, she replied, “I understand, but I spent $1,500 on the flight, as did my husband.” There should be a flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and am a loyal customer.

As the “Molly’s Game” actress demanded more be done, the agent told her, “I’m sorry, I can’t do more.”

Chastain’s reproaches were slammed by online sleuths, who trashed the actress — who recently listed her New York home for $7.45 million — for publicly trolling the airline. Many accused her of being “tone-deaf,” considering that many Floridians lost everything during Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

“Read the room,” responded one X user. “Jessica Chastain is so embarrassing,” responded another. A third joked that “being angry at an airline and criticizing them on social media” made Chastain “our modern-day Princess Di.”

But not everyone reacted negatively to Chastain’s tweets. Some users defended the star.

Writer Louis Peitzman wrote: “Many of you would tweet exactly like Jessica Chastain if you were at her level of celebrity. I know it in my soul.

Another person said it was “nice for a celebrity to publicly complain,” saying, “Airlines have absolutely no responsibility for customer service, experience, or even basics like BEING THERE.” HOUR. »
