Convicted with prior sexual misconduct charges, battery faces 15 years in prison on gun charge

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – A 44-year-old felon pleaded guilty to gun possession and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Christopher Houser was accused of sexual misconduct in 2001 and battery in 2019.

According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), in February, Houser sold a sawed-off shotgun to a convicted felon. Houser has a prior felony conviction in July 2019 for possession of methamphetamine.

As a felon, it is illegal to possess, obtain, and sell a weapon.

No sentencing date has yet been set.
