Fallowfield woman charged in animal cruelty case

State police charged a woman Wednesday after a dog was found living in poor conditions in her home.

Felicity Renee Frace, 23, of Fallowfield Township, faces misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty and animal neglect.

According to the criminal complaint, on the morning of Sept. 26, police were called to Frace’s home in the 500 block of Woodward Avenue for reports of a dog trying to escape through a second-story window. .

The police arrived and saw the dog leaning out the window. A neighbor told police he hadn’t seen the occupants of the house in “weeks.”

Police obtained a search warrant and found the home to be “in disarray,” according to the complaint. Charging documents say a “majority” of the floor space was covered in dog feces and urine.

The door to the room where the dog was located had a hole in the lower left, which police said appeared to come from the dog chewing its way out of the door.

According to the complaint, the dog was removed from the home and turned over to a Humane Society officer.

Frace has not been brought to trial on the charges against him and no preliminary hearing has been scheduled.
