Man arrested for indecent assault, authorities say

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) arrested a man for an indecent assault reported by a female victim in the Los Centenarios subdivision.

SVU investigated the report and once the investigation was completed, the case was presented to the Webb County Prosecutor’s Office.

The office said there was enough evidence to pursue criminal charges against the suspect.

Judge Roberto Quintana issued an arrest warrant for indecent assault, a class A misdemeanor with a $5,000 bond.

Jose Angel Martinez was arrested on a warrant and is currently in the Webb County Jail.

In a statement, Sheriff Martin Cuellar thanked the investigators who conducted the investigation.
