Man drives his wife absolutely nuts as he speaks in English accent for weeks after Oasis announce their Australian tour

An Australian radio star has driven his wife crazy by speaking in a stereotypical Manchester accent for weeks on end to celebrate Oasis touring Australia.

Nova radio host Liam Stapleton, 28, has been posting hilarious clips to Instagram which capture him imitating the accent of Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher, much to his wife’s annoyance.

‘You alright, kid? Excited for fookin’ Oasis? Are you mad for it?’ Liam cheekily asks his spouse Sarah in footage of one clip.

However, Sarah does not appear to share in her excitement at seeing the band, and tells Liam: ‘I am too hungover for this, stop.’

Stapleton then informs his frustrated wife he will be wearing a parka to the Oasis concert, much like the Stone Island jackets Liam Gallagher frequently wears onstage.

‘My brain is genuinely throbbing. I need you to stop,’ Sarah pleads, to which Liam responds: ‘This is how I talk now.’

Liam is then seen loudly singing the Oasis hit Rock ‘N’ Roll Star to his partner while shaking a tambourine, which she quickly snatches off him and puts out of his reach.

‘Don’t look back in anger,’ he quips back at her, referencing one of the band’s biggest hits.

Liam captioned the footage with some amusing words: ‘Oasis hype doing wonders for the wife’s hangover.’

The Gallagher brothers shocked fans when they confirmed their 2025 comeback tour and Aussies went wild when news broke they would be traveling Down Under.

The Manchester brothers will be performing at four highly-thought-after concerts in Sydney and Melbourne in October and November 2025.

Visiting Australia for the first time in 19 years, Oasis are scheduled to take to the stage at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on October 31 and November 1.

The stadium has a capacity of around 55,000, meaning around 110,000 fans will be able to see the legendary band live across the two tour dates.

Oasis will then head to Sydney to perform at the Accor Stadium on both November 7 and 8 to perform for around 167,000 fans across the two shows.

Oasis shot to global stardom in the ’90s, with their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe becoming the fastest-selling debut album in British history.

The following year (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was released with smash hits Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova, with Wonderwall topping the ARIA singles chart following its release.

During their 90s heyday, Oasis visited Australia in 1998 for the Be Here Now Tour after their chart-topping global success, and returned in 2001 and 2005.

The band infamously called it quits after a backstage argument at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009.
