Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting children while father was dying pleads not guilty

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln man accused of sexually assaulting two children in April while their father was dying in the hospital pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Douglas Anderson, 43, was charged with first- and third-degree sexual assault in July after the father of a 7-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy asked him who his co-worker was at time, to watch over his children. while he was in the hospital.

A Lincoln man has been charged after two children said they were sexually assaulted while their father was dying in hospital.

According to the arrest affidavit, after their father’s death, the children described the sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of Anderson to their cousin whose custody they were released to DHHS in early May.

No future court date has been set.
