Bethlehem man pleads guilty in shooting that left one dead, another injured

A Bethlehem man admitted his involvement in a 2022 shooting that left one person dead and another injured.

Legious Robert Minder Jr., 22, pleaded guilty Monday to third-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a prohibited firearm, a announced the Lehigh Valley District Attorney’s Office in a press release.

The shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on August 31, 2022, on West Juniata Street in south Allentown. Najeer Lane, 22, of Allentown, was fatally shot in the back and a second man was shot and wounded, authorities said.

Minder also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited firearm and fleeing to avoid apprehension for separate incidents in Allentown in 2022.

His co-defendants in the Aug. 31 shooting — Xavier Grenon, 32, of Whitehall, and Frederick Antwan Marks Jr., 23, of Bath — are awaiting trial.
