Authorities release name of man killed in Price County crash Saturday morning

PARK FALLS, Wis. (WSAW) – The Wisconsin DOT and Price County Sheriff’s Office are releasing the name of the man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Price County Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to the crash on WIS 13 at Lakeshore Drive in the Town of Lake, near Park Falls, at 5:58 a.m.

Initial investigation indicates a 2020 Ford F-150 was traveling south on State Highway 13 when a 2003 Buick LeSabre crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the Ford.

The driver of the Buick, Gordan Brunette, 56, of Rice Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, Gerald Yunk, 71, of Butternut, was found trapped in his vehicle. Crews used extrication equipment to extract him from the vehicle. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
