Thieves broke into a store and stole more than 100 shoes, but only those on the right foot.

The strange incident occurred at the Sole Bros 513 store on October 8, with owner Hunter Emigh finding a pile of open shoe boxes scattered in and around the open door to the storage room.

Emigh took to Facebook last Thursday to post photos of the mess and ask for help nailing the suspect.

Two of the images showed dozens of open shoe boxes, mainly from the Nike brand and the Jordan line.

“I know someone’s boy is limping now after jumping out the window. I know someone knows the drunk guy who stole over 100 good shoes,” Emigh wrote.

“I know someone knows the lady and knows she shouldn’t have been there.”

Emigh also shared a short clip of CCTV footage from outside his store showing a man dressed in a red hoodie and matching sweatpants and with a large duffel bag, drinking a drink and then tending to a man dressed in a matching dark colored outfit.

Both men had their hoods on their heads and the one wearing the dark colored outfit was wearing a mask.

Black-and-white video from inside the store showed a man lighting shelves and holding an armful of shoes.

In another video, the man in dark-colored clothing was talking on a cellphone and appeared to limp as he walked away.

Emigh also shared an image of a woman wearing glasses and a plaid jacket and holding a large white bag.

Several pairs of complete shoes, numerous items of clothing and other personal items and belongings were also stolen from Emigh’s store in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

“We appreciate all the love and support during this difficult time, and we hope to come back even stronger,” he wrote.

“We’re not going to let this stop us, slowly restock and get things back to normal. You never expect such things to happen to you, until it does.

Emigh wrote that the store is offering a reward for information leading to the thieves, but did not go into detail.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Cincinnati police.
