Bedfordshire Police discover suspect hiding in sofa in English Town Potton, video shows

Local police in the English town of Potton, Bedfordshire, found themselves in an unprecedented situation when they discovered that the suspect wanted in an October 11 arrest warrant was hiding on their sofa.

Footage released by Bedfordshire Police shows two officers lifting a sofa to find the suspect “nestled in the base” of the furniture.

“Oh, look who’s hiding on the couch,” one of the police officers exclaims in the footage.

“We have seen some things in our time, but we have to say this is a first,” the Biggleswade Community Policing Team wrote on Facebook.

“We thought the man would be more comfortable in bed, so he will spend the next few hours in a custody cell – a little less pressure that way,” they added.
