It’s been a strictly dramatic journey for Nick Knowles so far following his return to dancing on Saturday night after withdrawing from week three due to injury.

However, the DIY SOS star, 62, also reportedly experienced a dramatic period in the training room amid a clash between her his fiancée Katie Dadzie and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk.

The Sun revealed Luba, 34, voiced her concerns in front of others backstage that Katie, 33, was showing up to the rehearsal studio a little too often.

The professional dancer found it more difficult to teach Nick under the watchful eye of the lingerie businesswoman and after discussions, Katie limited her visits.

A source told the publication: “Luba found the constant interruptions infuriating as she felt it disrupted their training and routine.

“This was starting to affect the way Luba could teach, as she felt Katie’s eyes on her when they were in close contact.

“Luba is a complete professional, but no one can deny that it is awkward to have your partner’s girlfriend in the room. Katie seems to be very clingy with Nick.

The couple train at studios in north London, 30 miles from their home in Berkshire.

A BBC spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘As we told The Sun, any claim that there has been a complaint is categorically false.

“Such complaints have not been made to anyone, so these claims are completely false.”

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Nick and Luba for comment.

Yet despite the reported strain, Nick appeared in good spirits as he returned to the dance floor following a week off following a knee injury.

The DIY SOS star, 62, performed her Paddington-themed Charleston during Movie Week as production allowed her to continue her week three dance after skipping last week’s show.

Dedicating the dance to his 10-year-old son Eddie, judge Motsi Mabuse praised the star for his “brave comeback” confirming that “your son will be proud”.

Speaking candidly to Claudia Winkleman after giving it his all on the dance floor, Nick admitted: “This time last week I thought I was out, so I’m over the moon.”

Luba added: “I am absolutely impressed by this man and his determination. The fact that he fell in love with dance is the most beautiful thing.

Doctors told Nick Friday that he could hit the floor Saturday to dance again, a week after his injury forced him to withdraw from Movie Week.

Breaking his silence on his return to the show, Nick posted some positive news on Instagram, admitting he missed being away last week and had indeed caught the dancing bug.

He began: “Hello everyone. Well, I watched the show last week feeling so sad that I wasn’t there. Of course, I loved cheering everyone on, but I really missed it. I missed being a part of it.

“When I signed up for Strictly, I never thought for a moment that I would love dancing the way I do and I’ve definitely caught the dancing bug, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of it. back tomorrow.”

Thanking his support system, he added: “I am very grateful to all the physiotherapists and the BBC medical team for getting me back on my feet. See you tomorrow evening.

A BBC spokesperson also said: “We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing on Saturday’s show. Nick was cleared to dance by medical and physiotherapy teams following his injury last week.

“Due to training time this week, they will be performing their Movies Week Charleston to Rain On The Roof from Paddington 2.”
