Hornellsville man charged with stealing three RVs in Tonawanda

A Hornellsville man has been arrested in connection with the theft of three RVs in Tonawanda, authorities said. James E. Nelson, 52, was charged with second-degree possession of stolen property, a class C felony, after an investigation revealed the campers, worth more than $50,000, were stored in Hornellsville.

Nelson was arrested on October 17 following an investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office. The campers were allegedly stolen in Erie County, leading to Nelson’s arrest.

He was released after being arraigned at the centralized arraignment court and is awaiting further legal proceedings.
