Donald Trump campaign files international interference complaint against Kamala Harris and British government

Former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance have filed an international interference lawsuit against Vice President Kamala Harris and the British government, warning Britain that the last time they tried to interfere with the United States -United, “it did not end well”.

The Republican’s campaign team confirmed it filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday, alleging that the Harris-Walz campaign was in cahoots with British Prime Minister Kier Starmer’s Labor Party.

They allege that “illegal foreign campaign contributions and interference in our elections” took place.

The complaint follows a since-deleted LinkedIn post from a senior Labor official who sought to recruit current and former party workers to travel to battleground states in the United States.

“I have almost 100 current and former Labor Party members traveling to the United States in the coming weeks, to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia. I have 10 places available for anyone available to travel to the battleground state of (North) Carolina – we will sort your accommodation,” the message read, according to the BBC.

The Trump campaign said on Donald Trump’s website: “When British government officials tried to go door to door in America, it did not end well for them.

“The Trump-Vance campaign has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against the Harris-Walz campaign and the UK Labor Party for illegal foreign campaign contributions and interference in our elections. »

Susie Wiles, co-director of the Trump-Vance campaign, said: “In two weeks, Americans will once again reject the big government oppression that we rejected in 1776.

“The restive Harris-Walz campaign is seeking foreign influence to bolster its radical message – because it knows it can’t win over the American people. President

“Trump will strengthen the White House and put America and its people first.

“The Harris campaign’s acceptance and use of this illegal foreign aid is just another feeble attempt in a long line of anti-American election interference.”

“The far-left Labor Party inspired Kamala’s dangerously liberal policies and rhetoric. In recent weeks, they have recruited and sent party members to campaign for Kamala in critical states, attempting to influence our elections.

“President Trump’s message of freedom, prosperity, and America First resonates with the American people, because that’s what our Founders wanted.”

Mr Starmer or representatives of the British Labor Party have not yet commented.
