Key Disney and Pixar Animator Now Facing Child Sex Abuse Case

However, a new report muddles their names and we have disgraced animation to thank. New reports have confirmed that Bolhem Bouchiba is awaiting trial in France for child sexual abuse.

The report, which comes from Cartoon Brew, reveals that the 59-year-old animator is awaiting trial in Paris. The animator, who was a key talent at Disney and Pixar until 2004, is accused of ordering hundreds of rapes. Authorities say Bouchiba ordered the attacks on young girls in the Philippines through a live broadcast.

BOLHEM BOUCHIBA WAITING FOR TRIAL IN FRANCE FOR SEXUAL ABUSE

According to Le Figaro, one of France’s leading newspapers, police opened an investigation into Bouchiba in 2019. The Europol group noticed that the host was linked to suspicious fund transfers linked to the Philippines. During the team’s investigation, authorities learned that Bouchiba allegedly paid others to sexually abuse minors abroad. Investigators say the minors involved were aged between three and fifteen years old and they estimate that at least “a thousand children” were targeted.

Currently, Bouchiba is awaiting trial, but this case is not the first time that the host has been hit. In 2014, the artist was arrested and convicted of sexually assaulting his partner’s young daughter. During this affair, investigators discovered that Bouchiba had viewed child pornography and the case resulted in a two-year suspended prison sentence against the host.

As for his current case, Bouchiba faces up to 20 years in prison. In France, Le Figaro gained attention thanks to its graphic reporting on this affair. In one case, the report documents part of Bouchiba’s numerous interviews with police. It was there that Bouchiba shared disturbing information about the sexual abuse he had directed and the “fear” of victims.

In 1999, Bouchiba took over Tarzan as one of its main animators, and he worked on other projects like Lilo and Stitch. At Pixar, the disgraced animator worked on Ratatouille as well as The Incredibles And Up. Additionally, Bouchiba recently had credits under his belt thanks to Soul, Luca, And Elementary.
