Woman accused of pretending to be a ‘nurse’ pleads guilty

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — In 78th District Court, a woman accused of impersonating and practicing as a registered nurse in Wichita Falls pleaded to fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.

Jessica Judd, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty and was sentenced by Judge Meredith Kennedy to two years in state prison, suspended to five years of probation.

The accusation first came to light after the Texas Board of Nursing issued an impostor warning for Judd, alleging she had fraudulently practiced nursing in Wichita Falls, Jacksonsboro, Decatur and Weatherford.

Judge Kennedy also imposed a $1,500 fine and ordered Judd to perform 160 hours of community service.

Even though Judd is on probation, she hasn’t completely avoided prison.

Judge Kennedy also ordered that Judy be incarcerated for 30 days in the Wichita County Jail. She is expected to turn herself in to serve the sentence on March 10 next year.
