Fundraisers created for 16-year-old killed in Lee County

(WIFR) – Two fundraisers are being held on behalf of the family of a 16-year-old girl who authorities say was killed in her own home.

Relatives of Jaedyn Hill are raising money for her burial and funeral. A GoFundMe page for Hill’s family has raised nearly half of its $5,000 goal.

In addition to the online fundraiser, those wishing to help the family can purchase a bracelet that reads “#JUSTICEFORJAE” and “EVERY VICTIM MATTERS.” You can pre-order the bracelets for $5 at Wicked Nutrition, 312 W. Washington St. Suite B, Oregon, IL 61061. The bracelets will be sold in person at the health food restaurant starting October 26.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Hill was found dead Oct. 15 in an Ashton apartment. A 17-year-old girl is charged in her death. Investigators believe his death was linked to domestic violence.
