Louisiana man pleads guilty in 2023 child pornography case

KENNER, La. (WGNO) – A Youngsville man has pleaded guilty in a 2023 child pornography possession case.

According to the office of U.S. Attorney Duane Evans, David Miller, 49, pleaded guilty to possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors on Wednesday, October 9.

Court documents state that U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents and U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of Homeland Security investigations revealed that Miller was in possession of child pornography as a result of a search at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on October 17, 2023.

Miller would return from Cancun, Mexico.

Man sentenced to 65 years in prison in Jefferson bank robbery case

The prosecutor’s office said Miller faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and a minimum of five years of supervised release.

His sentencing is set for 2025.
